Was it a special show? I’ve heard Richard Blade on there play Hey Jude because he was interviewing an artist who sited that as his musical influence.

On that note, I think there are too many specialty shows. It seems like every time I want to listen to ‘80s on 8 on the weekends, I get stuck with that Working Class DJ show with Rick Springfield. He is not entertaining and he goes outside the ‘80s format. That kind of show should be on demand only. Leave ‘80s on 8 open for those who want to hear the regular format.
It wasn’t a special show, but I’ve noticed sometimes on Saturday morning between 9 and 10 a.m. (Eastern) they slip in a few surprises. Like yesterday they played “Circle in the Sand” by Belinda Carlisle - other times I’ve heard songs by Prince like “When Doves Cry” and “Delirious” (?). I kind of wish they’d do a whole hour of “new wave adjacent” or “almost alternative”. One time recently they played “Two of Hearts” by Stacy Q in the middle of the day.
