Favorite Christian CHR Stations...

I have been listening to a few stations online this week. Just scoping out what is out there.

I'm impressed with the music on Wayfm Denver but a little confused by the rest of the station. I think Wayfm Nashville sounds focused and pro, Wayfm Michigan is much more aggressive than I remembered, and KDUV Fresno sounds solid too. I think WONU sounds great in Chicago. I also checked back at KFFR in Southeastern Washington and that's a very interesting station. Not so sure who is guiding them, but it's very unique.

I gotta give some props to Chris Chicago (who I hear is vt'd on WONU, though he seems as live as a track jock can be), and Jeff Conel from KDUV (who moved there from a mainstream station in Seattle. I also think JR from Wayfm Nashville and the Wayfm stations is an amazing talent.

What stations are you liking? What talent impresses you?

I really like RadioU in Columbus, though it may be more rock than CHR.

I also like M88 (KLYT-FM) from Albuquerque, NM.

The station I have opportunity to listen to most is The Freq 107, WEXC-FM Greenville, PA. It isn't too bad, but they play too much rap/hip-hop for my flavors, and they have some crossfading issues.

I liked Way-FM in Tennessee when I vacationed through there. I also got to hear Way-FM in Kalamazoo, MI this past week, and it was pretty good. Another Christian CHR I got to hear a little bit from last week was WPRJ "The Fuse" Coleman, MI. I think they had some good music selection. Also, Yes-FM in the Toledo area is pretty good.

As for on-air talent, nobody comes to mind as I don't get to listen to much in the realm of Christian CHR radio very often.
