KTFW 92.1 is an EXCELLENT country station (Glen Rose, TX). They play classic country, current, recurrent, and lots of mid-late 2000s "not-so-big" hits that never get played. I heard Best Days of Your Life by Kellie Pickler for the first time in a few years on an FM station. Same with "Bob That Head" Rascal Flatts, and George Strait's "You Look So Good In Love". They also air some Texas country which always puts a kick into regular country music.

I also like KMPS 94.1 and somewhat KKWF, but I get sick and tired of the same 300-song playlist. I look for VARIETY on country stations.

97.5 WPCV in Lakeland FL has great hosts and a good mix of currents, recurrents, and gold. Not another cookie cutter “today’s country” station… IMO they do a good job knowing what their central Florida audience wants.

WBRF Galax, Virginia.

I heard a DJ say Billy Crash Craddock, after a really good song, at a gas station. That station is usually playing one of the lousy stations like 96.9 Cat Country or WSOC.

5000 songs in their library? That's impressive!

Still enjoying KTFW 92.1. Last night I heard "Every Dog Has It's Day" Toby Keith, an early 2010 single that is now just a memory on big-city FMs, classic Emmylou Harris (Two More Bottles of Wine), Tanya Tucker's "Two Sparrows in a Hurricane," and Terri Clark's 2004 #1 single, "Girls Lie Too". How many big-city, cookie cutter 300-song playlist stations air TERRI CLARK nowadays?! And it seems like every time I turn on a station, it's that "Runnin' Outta Moonlight", again and again (Randy Houser). I swear it airs 8 or more times a day on KMPS. More like "Runnin Outta Variety"...
