"Action" Jackson because of his energy, and ability to share information about artists and groups in an easy to listen to fashion. Additionally, I'm always impressed by people who have wide-ranging knowledge of music and can work in a variety of formats. He was a CHR DJ on 92.3 FM earlier in this decade and sounded great, along with being knowledgable. He's a DJ on gold-based 105.7, and sounds great, along with being knowledgeable.
Chuck Collier, the Dean of Country Music radio in Cleveland. His delivery is of someone who is very friendly. His unique delivery, means that you know it's him the second he comes on. Due to his long association with Country music and radio, he doesn't work as well on WMJI, the Rock/Pop/R&B oldies station.

I think Q104's Jen Toohey and Kory are my favorites...
No brainer here. Wynn and Wilson with the way they connect with the audience.
I like Tim Daugherty better vt'd on WAKR than live on WONE, but I appreciate his musical knowledge and his love of radio. Classic radio geek off the air.
And my favorite of the part timers and fill ins is McFly. He shows some great energy on the air.

I agree with TenInARow. All of Q104's weekday airstaff is great at what they do. Remember a few years ago when this board was filled with posts about how bad Q104 was? They've done a complete 180 there.

Ravenna Miceli - V107-3. I admit I'm a bit biased having worked with Rav, but I still think she's a top talent in the market.
Tom Kent - WMJI - Yes, he's syndicated. However, he does the show live from his studio in Brecksville (to the world). So he is local.
Big props to Kasper, Joel....CHR today isn't my format. I don't listen, but mad props to them both.
AM drive:
Lanigan and Malone can't be touched by any show in NE Ohio. Numbers (and revenue) prove it after all these years. Enjoy Lanigan while you can. Retirement (2012?) is not far off.
I'll add my own mini-thread...
Four talents I miss - former WMJI personalities Scott Howitt and Luther Heggs. Can't believe neither is working in the market. If nothing else part-time on WMJI or WNCX for either. Both stations could use their Q rating.
Former WMMS talent BLF Bash. He'd be great on WNCX overnights, or even V107-3.
And former WQAL talent John Russell. He was fantastic!

I think he still helps at WKNR/850, given that he helped plan and build that station's 50kW site in North Royalton back in the 90s (when it was still WRMR). I could be wrong, but he might do some work with WCCD/1000 and WCLV/104.9, too...

Ted was the best at spinning oldies when he held down the morning drive shift at WELW during their short time as an Oldies outlet. He would do something that everybody else was too lazy to do, and it made a big difference. He would play music from the 1950s through the 1970s, but would do so chronologically, which helped avoid "train wrecks". For example, he might start with a song from 1956. Then the next one from 1959, then one from 1962, then one from 1966 etc... until he played one from the mid or late 1970s. Then he'd start the system over again. This made everything flow smoothly, and made for a good, listenable show.

Ted also works for Telos Systems out of Cleveland and answers calls from radio stations all over the United States, he is also the host of a Oldies show at a station in Seatle that he produces right here in C-Town. he is being inducted into the Broadcasters Hall Of Fame on November 7th 2010 in Akron for his 40 plus years in Broadcasting!!! Congrats Ted.
Tim Richards at Q104 has grown into a strong talent in the Cleveland market. I believe his energy would best be served back in morning drive. I also believe Jon Marochino at WKDD/MY107 is a rising talent in the Akron / Canton markets. Tim Daugherty is mainstay in the Akron radio market and frankly, just an all-around great guy. Personally, I'd have to question the character of anyone that had issues with Timmy D.

Ravenna's back in Cleveland? I remember her from WMJI (she was middays, after Lanigan and his crew, in the early 90s)...
In addition, of course, speaking of Lanigan, I gotta go with those guys; even though I no longer live in the Cleveland area, I still listen to them through WMJI's online stream. One memorable moment I remember from back in the day that tie the two shows together was one morning, back when Lanigan still did the "Flex Club" segment, Ravenna broke into the segment with a PSA as Lanigan tried unsuccessfully to get her off the segment.
Good to see both L&M and Ravenna are still active in Cleveland, although now on two different stations...

Ravenna? On V107.3, she sounds like the wife of the PD who was asked to do middays. I'll give her credit for her WMJI days, which she sounds nothing like now. Rocco is a joke right? It's somebody doing a bad Dj impression? The entire station sounds like a huge practical joke.

At the time Russell was on Q he was the best talent the station had outside AM drive (Morrow). He was upbeat/fun. Perfect for HAC. In middays then was Johnny Williams. IMO He was better suited to a "Beautiful Music/MOR" format. I believe Johnny worked at KHJ 'back in the day'.
