The GM at Magic 97 brought them in from a Beautiful music station in Norfolk, where they apparently had big numbers. Now as context, the next two airshifts were Chuck Brinkman and Sean McDowell, and we did Classic Trax at night, so these guys just didn't fit at all.
They were older guys who didn't know the music, couldn't run the board (they were used to live-assist automation), made no effort to learn anything about Pittsburgh, and could put you to sleep in seconds. Other than that they were great.
They lasted less than a year as I recall, then Brinkman went back to mornings, and the station added Marcie, then Susie Barbour for middays.
