Favorite Hudson Valley Station?

What stations do you like that broadcast from the Hudson Valley? Any favorites? Let's keep this list to stations that currently exist...

What a thrilling topic! zzzzzzzzzzzzz

I've listened to all the power stations, but I still like WKNY the best. It broadcasts from Kingston (basically TO Kingston), but has a good variety of music and talk, and even a Doo Wop hour!

Does 101.5 count?? (WPDH)

If not then 97.9 WRIP is my favourite from that area (Otherwise i have 2 favourites.. 97.9 and 101.5)

Good topic but why not include favorite radio station from the past...I think it would be interesting reading who was everyone's favorite DJ, station, etc. from years gone bye....

One of my favrite radio stations of the past was WSPK when they were Gold N' Stereo WSPK 10-47 FM-Larry Wells I think started there around 1976 or 1977 was fantasic DJ at that station.

My favorites from the past were WSPK in the mid-80s when they had Dr. John Barron (Alan Sniffen) on Saturday nights, Marc Bolger in the morning, and the weekly top 30 countdown, and WPDH also in the mid-80s to early 90s, they also both did a nice year-end countdown show, which I often recorded.

As for current favorites I'll second the WKNY vote, good variety of music, too bad their signal is weak in the Poughkeepsie area, especially at night. I also liked WKIP in the Music Of Your Life days, but they also have a weak signal.

My favorite stations that I usually listened to all the time was B94 when it was a top 40 station that it was on the original WBPM at 94.3 (now a big comeback in Pittsburgh, not in the Hudson Valley, will see what happens). I remember "Rhythm 94.3" playing all the 60's, 70's and 80's R&B oldies, sounded a lot more than "Jammin' 105". I mostly listened to WCKL along with the four stations that usually carried MOYL was WGHQ, WKIP, WELV and WHUC.

But now, I don't really listened to other stations, except one station I listened to is either "The Wolf" or WRWD.

This is kind of a useless topic...By the time its done everyone will have picked every station from the past to present.

zzzzzz. Sorry, just my $.02
