Favorite Jocks / Some Predictions

Let's make a list of the best talent in Vegas.

I like:
Mornings: At work, too busy to listen to other morning shows.
Mid's: Rick Kelly.
Afternoons: Carlota.
Nights: Mr. BOB. I catch the first 2 hours of his show. Then I go to bed.
Overnights: Tough to Call! I'm usually asleep during this shift. I tend to catch the last hour to 45 minutes. No comment to give.

Future Predictions:
Afternoons: Tom Kelly at Coyote! I've been listen to his show lately. He is very informative about the artist. He's also very topical on what's happening in Las Vegas. If KWNR is going to stay on top of the country battle in the afternoons, they need to be live, know what's happening now in Vegas and not voice tracked all day long.

I think Star's 80's and more might be going pretty soon. They'll probably change like the old (Pre 1995) Klassy 100 when it was a cross between Hot and Adult AC. I predict they will add more music from the 90's and change to Star 102 and drop the 7. Reason to believe is Teri Springs who is at Coyote once was the music director at Klassy 100/Lite 100. She also hosted the Turn Out the Lite's show on Lite 100. If Star is to change, Teri will be a part of the musical influence.

Mix 94.1 has shifted talent around. Jason on afternoons, Tim on nights. Jason has a dry sense of humor. Moving him to afternoons was the right thing to do! He'll prove well. Tim is a great addition on nights. To early to tell what he'll do but I think he'll be just fine. Kade needs something on the overnight show. A request hour would help. There is only so much you could do on the overnights. If your live, have a featured hour at the least!

Jack Fm will need to have jocks on the air. If not all day parts, how about the morning. I hear they will soon have a jock or team for mornings. They could even have an afternoon drive jock too. I hope so! Sometimes I like to know what the title and artist are of the song they're playing. Without a jock, you cant get that info. Jack - Get Some Jocks!

Coyote Country needs a coyote mascot :) I'd take the job of hoping into the suit! :)

I think we also need a station here that plays oldies music, and not from the mid 60's - 70's. Oldies to me is hearing big band from the 1940's, music from the 1930's, and much more. Oldies stations nationwide are fatally shooting themselves in the foot by airing a 20 year period of oldies music. And disco music? get it off the "urban" (aka hip hop) stations. I'm not going to listen to donna summers, etc sandwiched in between tupac and "three six mafia" If I want to hear awful programming like that, I will just attend Anthrocon,Califur,Feral (furry conventions, and I do attend them) and just hit the dance floor. a fur con is the only place I can swear I am listening to a radio station when I go near the dance floor and hear billy idol followed by some awful trance/techno remix of a song!

Big band music... isnt that what KJUL 104.7 plays?.. Its not the oldies, its the Old Oldies! I don't think disco music warrants their radio station format...

reading this made me laugh... because seriously, you can tell you don't know "jack" about anything in this market.
Let me let you in on a little secret, with the exception to Blair Garner, KWNR is the only station inside the Clearchannel building that is live all the time.

Seriously... listen to the station sometime... having as much interaction as Bob has with his traffic reporter is a tough thing to do when voice tracked. Oh wait, you probably can't listen because you're too busy doing traffic for the coyote.
