1. WUMB (folk)2. WBOQ (oldies)That's it. Can't say I'm a fan of any of the Western Mass. stations. WAQY's got a preset, but I hardly ever listen to it; playlist seems to be 200 songs or less.

WBZ/BostonWZLX/BostonWWFX "100 FM The Pike" Worcesterand I must give a shout to WRSI in Greenfield/Northampton. This station has been through a few ownership changes over the years (not to mention dial position changes) but none of those owners have messed with their very unique brand of AAA. In my opinion WRSI is a model station for the format.

7) WCAP 980 Lowell, MA (ca: 1981?) Hey, they actually played a side of Abbey Road when John Lennon was killed!!! TO have an aircheck of that - neat.
9) WVCA 104.9 Gloucester, MA, late 1970s, This little station nestled next to WPJB Providence JB-105. What an oddity; a one-man offbeat station. Just had to listen! Were they just mono? I think so...
10) WPJB 105.1 Providence, MA 70s Top 40. Fun to listen to when it drifted in (which was usually... cheap radios were GREAT back then

800 CKLW Windsor, ON Mid 70s. Just set it to WCCM before they sign off, and viola, later on it's Rockin' CKLW!
890 WLS Chicago, IL. Set it to WOTW 900 Nashua before dark, and afterward slide it a little to the left... there it is! John Records Landecker. Leave it on for Larry Lujack in the Morning while getting ready for school, especially during winter.
1540 WPTR Albany, NY, Shotgun Johnny Ringo at night, WHAT A SCREAMER!!

Reverse Skip, (Enjoying HOmetown radio away from town) being in the Navy around the nation and beyond:
1030 WBZ Boston: Driving late late at night, in Northeastern Oregon, near Idaho... KTWO Caper, WY goes off the air for maintenance...

Oh my gosh, I remember JB 105, 92 pro FM, WZOU out of Boston....we're talking 70's and 80's. Many of these station are gone now. Formats have changed in regards to demographic changes and so forth. Seems like we keep coming back, though, to the basics! :D
