even though they dont come on til 9 i must say jv and elvis are starting to grow on me! scott and todd before that.
Marc Miller -SOJO 104.9. Plenty of music, Jill Myra is a great support. Miller hits all the important info for the 8 counties they cover and relates well to the target audience = South Jersey adult women. Keeping it upbeat and energetic the whole time, day in and day out. A likable dude. The guy is a pro at what he does (a lost art - think Mike & Diane at WAYV or Tommy & Chris Rollins at PST, their shows and skills are really terrible). He gets my vote...a very solid show.

JV & ELVIS!?!??! Eh. Opie and Anthony do the trick til 9...they need to be extended to 10 on Free FM.
Considering JV and Elvis drop the ratings in the 9 o'clock hour that O & A have.
I do agree and say Elvis Duran & The Morning Zoo...with there transmitter being in NJ.
Though, PST puts on an OK morning show.

I tried to listen a few times..they are unlistenable!!!!! what a piece of crap....The jokes are un-funny....the bits are humorless and go on forever.Why cant these stations just lose all jocks and play just music and news traffic and weather when necessary?Oh thats Sirius I forgot..

I used to listen to XM but now I will listen to Stern On Sirius as of this week. Just got Sirius.
Brian and Jen on G are rough to listen to. Pass on them. Z100 is not bad but the music is.

Of some of the morning shows mentioned here's my opinion.
Anita and Spyder are sounding really good in the morning. I expect a nice ratings bounce for WJRZ within the next 6 months. Their show sounds very nice and entertaining without being obnoxious. Anita sounds very intelligent so management isn't afraid of holding on to smart talent.
Brian and Jen I agree are a joke and really shouldn't even be on the air let alone doing a morning show.
The Dennis and Judi show is really getting tired and burn't out already.
I heard Dennis alone last week and no wonder he has a partner because when he's alone he sounds bored with himself. He has a weird laugh and he's just not funny or entertaining. I heard Michelle Palenza on with him on Friday and I thought she carried the show for him. Suggestion to 101.5 management fire Dennis and Judi and put Michelle Palenza on alone during middays I expect ratings will soar.
Jim Gearhart had the Governor on his last week so Jim's value is he can get the power brokers of NJ on his morning show which is a feather in his cap.
The Z morning Zoo is always a good listen but it hurt them when they started syndicating to other markets. The Zoo is a fined tuned show but they need to watch an up and coming talent which leads me to the next comment.
Mark Miller of SoJo I've caught a few times. A big improvement over the guy they had on before him who really had nothing interesting to say. Mark Miller won't last long on SoJo. Although he's sounds great and the music he plays is well presented his future there is limited.
Here's why.
He's sounds like a natural morning guy who's very funny and
knows the music and artists. He doesn't need a partner but Jill Myra is very good in adding the female touch. He's NOT a shock jock which if you see the morning numbers in NY and Philly for shock jocks their numbers are declining. The public is getting tired of the prank call locker room mentality of these non talents. Mark's much better than most Philly or NY morning talent. Remember this slogan - mornings is where the big money is.
SoJo won't be able to pay him the $375,000 he will be offered to start in NY or Philly or the 5 million he will be offered 2 years from now to syndicate out of NY or Philly.
He would be a fool to sign any new contract with SoJo without first exploring his options. He's very good and can be this generations new Elvis Duran.
Hot Wings and Beer are OK but they are bit dependant which doesn't require much talent and when their bits aren't good it can be embarrassing. They serve their audience so I would keep them but I don't see much growth from them. Hot Wings and Beer are much better than Brian and Jen that's for sure. I have more to add but that's it for now.

What a shock you would say that about mornings after all your posts in the BJ thread... not trying to fan any flames here, just an observation...
