My favorite station out of the market is actually out of the country. It is a News Radio station located in Toronto. Cleveland would do well to have a format similar to that. 680 News http://www.680news.com/

I'd add CBC Radio One (usually listen to the Windsor feed), and occasional visits to the Rogers all-newsers, including the aforementioned "680 News" in Toronto..."News 1310" in Ottawa..."News 1130" in Vancouver, and other Canadian news/talk AMs (CFRB/1010 in Toronto, CKNW/980 in Vancouver, etc.)
I've actually visited CKNW. Nice place.
We get 740 Zoomer down here in NC..really great processing. I heard the 60s at 6 tonight..and the music was like FM...what a signal!

Sadly, the mighty 1550 was silenced earlier this year in CBC's sprint to FM. Radio One in Windsor is now on 97.5 FM.
Thankfully for those of us in the states, it's still readily available online and via various smartphone apps...

Fortunately, as I noted, modern technology comes to the rescue. CBC is nice enough to offer all its individual local stations in streaming audio, including Windsor, and you can use the TuneIn app if you have a smartphone.
I used to listen to CBC Radio One on 740/Toronto at night (the aforementioned CFZM "Zoomer Radio" today). The Zoomer folks provide a good service to eastern North America at night, but it was cool to pick up Radio One in my car at night, every night...
1550 was very weak in Vermillion OH. Last time I was there I could get Radio 2 on 89.9.

Actually, I'm in Willoughby. And it came in MUCH better than KNR2, or WFUN, almost better than WHK. I'll have to look for TuneIn for my android tablet.
Ah, yes, reception along the lake...remember, when 1460 in Painesville first changed gospel format providers, my Secondary Voice, Nathan, picked it up on the other side of Cleveland in Avon, far from its usual range.
Unfortunately, I can't drive up to Lake County to try 1550 anymore.
TuneIn is great, and it's free (they have a Plus version that records in app, which is like $1 or $2 for Android). Well worth the visit to the Android Market. It's also on iOS and I think maybe Blackberry.
