Favorite record label design(s)

Columbia Records labels are my favs like SQ Quadraphonic the gold and red lettering. And the different labeling on their Masterworks Albums. The A&M logo on Quincy Jones "Body Heat" and Herb Alberts "Rise" are also great, and the palm trees on America's "Greatest Hits" London's Rolling Stone's "Tide on Green Grass" Red label for the long playing and Blue Label for the Stereophonic version.
 
Always remembered Columbia's orignal "walking eye" logo. Unusual for the 1950s but unique at a time when Mitch Miller's bigger than life "360 Sound' reverberation wasn't as unique since only balladeers and country acts were the norm as rock acts were not signed to the label in that decade. Closest thing to the 360 Sound today would be Mariah Carey singing the title song from the "Music Box" CD. The finger snapping and synthesizer blended together with the studio reverberation so beautifully with Mariah's voice,it makes me wonder if the late Mitch Miller would have been shaking his head up and down in agreement.

This tune still almost brings tears to my eyes...its that melodically beautiful.
