Favorite SiriusXM Music Channels

I've never had it but I tried out Escape in a store (and my dentist played it sometimes). That's mostly instrumental beautiful music, and people of all ages love it. So much that when it was made an online only channel so many people complained I heard they had to hire extra telephone operators and they had to put it back on radios.

My former neighbor would play 40s Junction when we both went to the mountains. We used to go together but it became too hard to meet up, especially after he moved, so we'd see each other after we arrived.

Other channels I probably would like are Siriusly Sinatra and Willie's Place. I once heard Sirius XM Love in a Dairy Queen.

Probably The Bridge and 50s on 5 or whatever it's called now.

Almost certainly urban legend. At that time, I believe XM was outsourcing its customer support to Egypt and Jamaica. (India was too expensive.) It had plenty of cheap labor on hand there to take all the calls from outraged seniors. Yes, there were complaints, and the channel was brought back, but the "glorious people's revolution" tales that have evolved since then are over the top.

Great list there rduradio, I like 70s on 7 as #1 also, 17 the Bridge, 26 Vinyl, and most of your choices are not bad, xtra channels I like 70s on 7 (music only) Yacht Rock on 311 is good, I'm still trying to figure out the difference between Yacht and Bridge.

When I first subscribed to SiriusXM my favorite channel was The Bridge. But after a year or two I found I was burned out by the repetition. (Also I needed to keep changing the channel to avoid The Doobie Brothers and Neil Young. ;))

Living in the NY metro area all my life I was never exposed to country music on the radio, so when I started sampling other channels I got hooked on Prime Country which is now my favorite. I'm also beginning to sample Y2Kountry.

I like moving forward and not listening to the same stuff I remember from decades past, so the 60s, 70's, etc. channels have no interest to me.

For talk on SiriusXM, I mostly listen to Fox Business, especially Stuart Varney, Charles Payne and Larry Kudlow.

I would probably want to avoid Neil Young unless he's with Crosby, Stills and Nash, but not The Doobie Brothers. I even find myself considering adding "China Grove" to my fantasy oldies/AC iPod.

My favorite Doobie Brothers song (never made it big) "Another Park Another Sunday" rarely gets played, but there is a 70s station called "70s Time Machine" that does play that and many forgotten tunes or ones that didn't climb to high on the Billboard charts, and they have no ads, no jingles, no DJs and just one short vocal I.D. on top of the hour.

70's on 7
80's on 8
90's on 9
Pop2K
Octane
Ozzy's Boneyard
Hair Nation
Liquid Metal
Turbo
Rock the Bells
Shade 45
Fly
Soul Town
The Groove
Prime Country
Willie's Roadhouse
Y2Kountry

All of these are great selections. I’ve listen to the majority of these channels. The best part is hearing songs you normally wouldn’t hear anywhere else with DJ’s that are knowledgeable in their genres, scene a/or particular era.

Channel 55 (formerly Country Christmas) is now counting down the top 1000 Country songs! It's a good listen with no repetition.

They did that on 70s on 7 not too long ago (the top 1,000 of the 70s) was excellent so I'm sure '55' will do a good job with their countdown too.

You can still hear the top 1000 of the 70s on the app/website for a limited time.
When did they start that? I know they have a 70s on 7 (music only) streaming, is that where the top 1,000 is?

I think the Top 1,000 of the 70s is on the 70s on 7 channel itself. If not, it could be on demand.

The Sirius XM WiFi sound station is a Grace Mondo without all of the other apps, definitely worth spending a few more $ and getting the Mondo, which includes the SIRIUS XM app.

Oh, I know... because I already have BOTH.

On SIRIUS XM "extra channels" when you tune in, the song always starts at the beginning with the time of the song on the display, and if you leave and come right back to that channel a different song starts from 0:00.
