WDBY-FM1 was granted it's license to cover today.

Freedom Communications was granted license renewals for WLAT 910, WNEZ 1480 and WKND 1230 today as well.

*Scoffs* WKND 1230 shouldn't have gotten a license renewal. They haven't done a proper legal ID since they became WKND 2 years ago. They're using WKND Hartford-Manchester for a legal ID instead of WKND Manchester-Hartford.

I remember WKSS using "Hartford-Meriden" right after they flipped to CHR in the '80s. Isn't their COL Meriden?

To this day, WKSS-FM still IDs as "WKSS Hartford/Meriden" and has been doing so since at least 1984.

WKSS 95.7 is actually dually licensed, if you check FCC.giv their COL is infact Hartford-meriden. There are a handful of stations that must legally do a dual city id, including an AM in FLorida.. 790 WLBE Leesburg Eustis...

on wednesday the FCC did a surprise inspection on WXCI Danbury it was only the 2nd time in the stations history.
figure i add that in for the FCC ation in CT
