FCC approves Ion sale

Not necessarily. It depends on what this "Citadel Investment Group" is all about. If they're just looking for easy money, you can bet that we'll see lots and lots of additional informercials. That would be a shame.

If, on the other hand, they have an actual vision for the network, then we could see improvements. I would imagine that it will all be made clear soon.
 
Citadel Investment Group is a hedge fund. They're not broadcasters so the place is going to be run by accountants. More infomercials? If those are the most profitable, then very likely.

Citadel reportedly owns a significant chunk of Google.
 
They're going to try to shore up the bottom line of the stations then sell them off piece by piece or as a group. They are not in this for the long haul.
 
I get the "I" national feed on my cable. They have started running some public domain stuff again durring the day. - I Married Joan, My Little Margie. Maybe they are just plugging them in between times that can't sell to informercials.
