FCC Auction 109

I noticed 107.9 (300A) in Boonville filed a modification to their application on 12 November. It may have been in response to the iHeart Sacramento applicatiion's antenna pattern... not sure. The 150-watt Boonville station will throw just 9 watts towards 90 degrees in the direction of Sacramento. Still, the engineering work for Boonville is brilliant by encompassing Ukiah with a 60dBu contour.

The Boonville-Ukiah 107.9 Class A Auction 109 applicatiion was approved today. Perhaps that's a sign that the "geographically-adjacent" co-channel iHeart application to the east (Sacramento) soon will be approved . So far , iHeart has been submitting a lot of amendmenta for changes in ownership.

iHeart's application is still listed as "pending" ... The last paperwork was filed on 12/7 as an amendment stating "The application is hereby amended to provide an updated Parties to the Application exhibit." Basically, their legal advisors updated the corporate ownership list.

All the more time for all the whole house transmitters to have a clear channel to play all that rhythm and blues, disco, and all the other music they play over and over again. Plus the guy by Sacramento State University that runs some great music most of the time. Where will they all go when 107.9 is back???
