FCC CDBS IT Problems - Anyone hear of this?

The FCC reports a "bug" in the IT component of CDBS which will not allow a Form 314 to be filed. The first attempt at filing was over a week ago.

I spoke with someone at the FCC "last week" and have emailed several times. So far I was promised the problem would be fixed last week then the IT guy has stopped responding to emails.

My last response was "we'll work on this Thursday" and the problem is still there and emails go unanswered.

Anyone know what's going on?

Very strange. Form 314's, btw, are applications to transfer a station license. An action that has been slow recently because of the economy and the financing drought; otherwise there would probably be more screams.

Apparently this is an internal error but it was fixed. Because call signs are not automatically assigned the error saw no Facility ID or call sign and would not process the action to initiate the pre-filing page.

Like most of the government, it's broken. I'm all for regulation and coordination at a federal level of our frequencies, but the FCC as it is can and IS more trouble than it's worth. They make a lifetime out of hassling people with their paperwork regs and inadequacies in nearly all facets while they make proposals of ideas like taking our TV channels for the broadband/cell guys.

Dear FCC, you suck in so many ways it's hard to even start to come up with what's the worst part of you.

Hopefully their ineptitude hasn't created too big of a hassle for you. Good luck!
