FCC Citation in Franlin, TN

Of all the towers for the FCC to bust...

Maybe the FAA will impose a similar fine on the great State of Tennessee for not replacing the bulbs on the Tennessee Tower. At a mere 452 feet and visible from the closest major airport, you would think someone would have noticed.

The low flying planes in Cool Springs had better be careful when hovering just above the tree lines since those towers are not much taller than the trees. Especially when considering the hills are 300 feet tall surrounding the area.

or not pay rent?

Hardly.

That tower site has been an engineering and legal nightmare for WNSR from day one, and going back some fifteen years, it was just as problematic for the previous licensee, as well.

The Commission was correct on this one. North Chapel Investments deserved the citation.
