FCC Commisioner Joins Comcast

It's legal if you only break the spirit of the law.

Everything is going to be..... just..... fine.

Now there's room for a new appointee.

Suppose it'll be an engineer?

Given how so many individuals opposed the NBC-Comcast merger, this disclosure is sure to, at the very least, raise some eyebrows. At most, it might potentially raise a relatively huge stink.

Keeping in mind that the original headline was: “New FCC website appears as Commissioner Baker disappears.” - has anyone taken a look at the new FCC website (see www.fcc.gov)?

I challenge you to find the “broadcasting” or “media bureau” pages.

It’s also interesting that the “Media & Marketplace” page says nothing about broadcasting.

When you do finally get to the vestiges of the broadcasting stuff, the pages are emasculated, thin on content, and seem heavily biased to the new initiatives…and especially the “blogs”.

This continued, apparently deliberate marginalization of our industry by the Commission is maddening. It would be less offensive to me if this were at least even handed and traditional broadcasting wasn’t being so seemingly deliberately written off. I also note that other regulated sectors are not handled as well as before.

the ethics rules for federal employees is a period of months, perhaps years , after leaving federal employment before they can lobby for a business or orgnization that deals with the federal goverment.there should be an uproar that this job can happen immideatly.
