FCC Fine Time in Mississippi

Hey all-

Since nobody has posted this already. We've had some fines dished out in Central Mississippi over the last few weeks:

WMGO 1370 AM in Canton - $8000 fine for Jerry Lousteau after he repeatedly broadcasted a recorded telephone conversation with former Police Chief Luke Gordon (allegedly without Gordon's consent to be on the air).

WQST 850 AM in Forest - $4000 fine for operating without a license - they let their license expire in June of 2004 and decided not to file for a renewal until May of 2005... despite many reminders about the renewal period prior to the fact.

Isn't Larry's wife the president of the board that has the 100.5 LPFM or is that another station in the area? I forget...

WQST supposedly took down all but one of their 4 towers and operated at 500 watts, but were still licensed for 10KW/4 towers.

Uglee Jerry Lousteau of B-97 New Orleans fame. Man, I haven't heard that name in a long time!

WQST had a CP for 500 watts with a single tower. Everything was built according to the CP, but the filing for a new license showing 500w/ND-D operation fell thru the cracks. When the CP expired, licensed operation was assumed to be the original 10kw/DA-D operation until it eventually expired.
