FCC Gives CP for KUSF Transmiter Move

CPRN has approval to move KUSF's transmitter off the USF campus and into Sausalito--Stanford's KZSU, aided and abetted by the Save KUSF crew, says they will study the CP for possible interference issues and intend to file a Petition to Reconsider to stop the sale of 90.3 to CPRN (obviously they didn't read the FCC edict last week about KTRU--and even if they win, we all know that CPRN and USF will just sign a new LMA):

Please note that the linked blog post is from an anti-mainstream radio, pro-college/"community"/Pacifica blog, but I couldn't find anything else on this story.

We hope that as a publicly supported station, KDFC will drop that horrible dot com TLD and get a respectable dot 8)rg address.
(as we inhale through our nose in a disgusted British way)

So, the FCC is saying "F-U" to the protesters.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

The FCC does not regulate protests. If the application meets the technical rules, it is supposed to be granted.

Its like KUSC website is .org since KDFC 89.9 is owned by USC I hope they will get the same domain as KUSC does.

A dot-com has more value than a dot-org, though there is no legal distinction between them such as with dot-edu.

They can get both and forward one to the other.

KDFC.org is owned by a domain speculator - apparently he wants more money for it than CPRN is willing to pay.
