FCC gives initial OK to WLIE sale

DEER PARK – WLIE is one step closer to God.
The Federal Communications Commission has given initial approval to the sale of locally owned WLIE-AM to Starboard Media, a Wisconsin-based Catholic talk radio network.
Back in April, Starboard, which calls its network Relevant Radio, agreed to buy the station from Stuart Henry for $14 million. The deal includes the sale of WLIE’s headquarters on Deer Park Avenue.
