Well, it's now official. The FCC field office in Houston is closing. http://www.radioworld.com/article/fcc-finalizes-enforcement-field-op-changes/276621

According to Steve Lee, he is not sure yet if he will get to keep his job. Has to go to arbitration. Also, next month Mr. Lee will not be making his annual appearance and lecture at the Texas Association of Broadcasters conference in Austin.

Steve has done a great job here in Texas. If you know him, how about sending him a few words of appreciation for his years of service.

I see all field offices closing in 10yrs this first round 9 are closing they will see how much $$$ they can save closing them.

Get ready for the pirates to start rearing their heads inside the Loop again.

I guessed the name part Frank.....but why are his posts allowed to stay if he was banned?? Was it someone we all know??

I talked with Steve Lee Monday on the phone before the announcement.....He is not eligible for retirement until October...Houston's "office" has been closed for decades....Steve and Loyd have been operating from home...as Field Agents...what happens next is anyone's guess.....
