FCC pulls KHTZ's License

I would say there is nothing to sell until the appeal is resolved. Now, if a buyer was found and this was mentioned to the FCC, that could have some influence on their decision as long as the buyer was solid financially and with the candor the FCC wants of it's licensees. Until the FCC places the station back in his hands, there is nothing to sell. If the appeal returns the frequency to the FCC, then there will be a long wait until the next auction (although there is one coming up soon, that list has already been published so this frequency would not appear in the upcoming auction, assuming the FCC upholds their action).

I noticed over the weekend it was back on the air.

Yep. Still Texas mix 94.9 105.3, 99.7.

They're still promoting 99.7? Isn't that the now-defunct KROY? At least the signal on 105.3 (KTWL) is consistently on the air, though any 99.7 reference might drive Montgomery and Walker County listeners to KVST.

They are still promoting it, at least on 94.9. I never have picked up 105.3. As far as I know 99.7 has been off the air for some time now.

Is it still on the air? In 2020 it was. Interesting if so...

Looked up DKHTZ. Two appeals pending. The law allows a licensee to continue operation while FCC administrative appeals are exhausted and, if taken further, while an appeal is pursued in court.
