FCC releases DTV transition schedule

Stations were required to report to the FCC their transition plans by March 17; the FCC has released the list of stations with their transition plans.

Seven Arizona stations and one border station have already made the transition to digital-only:
  • KCFG 9 Flagstaff
  • KFPH 13 Flagstaff
  • KMOH 6 Kingman
  • KMCC 34 Laughliln NV
  • KPPX 51 Phoenix
  • KTAZ 39 Phoenix
  • KTTU 18 Tucson
  • KUVE 46 Green Valley

Five plan to terminate analog broadcasting before June 12:
  • KUAT 6 Tucson (3/31)
  • KPAZ 21 Phoenix (4/16)
  • KAET 8 Phoenix (4/29)
  • KDTP 11 Holbrook (4/30)
  • KAZT 7 Prescott (5/15)
All early termination plans are subject to FCC review and approval.

The remaining nineteen Arizona-based stations and three border stations will continue to broadcast analog until June 12 (equipment failure notwithstanding):
