FCC releases new rules for 60 meter band

Many operators agree that the added modes on locked channels will further conjest operations. I agree with all BUT the addition of added modes of operation. Again, the product of the FCC not thinking. What you get when you have a bunch of appointed, not-voted-for lawyers running things.... :mad:
 
Has anyone had any good results by computer-reprogramming some of the pre-programmed radios, such as the Yaesu FT-857d/FT-897D radios? Or will we have to go ahead and make the MARS modifications?

(I'm not a computer pro....just a computer user...would be nice to know, however....)
 
Well, for once I actually agree with the ARRL on something: it does seem confusing. (Scary.)

Things like this are what make me glad I jumped the HAM ship long ago. Not that I ever actually got involved with shortwave but it was in my tentative plans.......
