FCC releases updated "The public and Broadcasting" booklet

All-

The FCC has released the latest revision of "The Public and Broadcasting." As you know, this document must be included in the Public File of each station. You can find a link to the document on the Radio Magazine Online website.

One more reason for those FCC Inspector "traffic cops" to go a busting for...

"Ahhhhh...You have the OLD booklet...you should have the new one....That's a 1500 dollar fine" *smile*

I had a job many years ago to earn college money where one of my responsibilities was maintaining the volumes of governmental materials and manufacturing specifications. The company was a subcontractor making aircraft parts and non-compliance could result in removal from the approved source lists (a bigger problems than a fine).

What is pertinent is that the presence of those publications was required but apparently the reading of them was not. They never had a wear problem with the carpet in the hall outside my space, those massive tomes stood undisturbed on my shelves except for when I inserted updates and revisions.
