FCC Revokes license of 97.3 WJDF in Orange

Don't think WJDF is gone forever. A good way for the FCC to get their money after being ignored is by revoking the license when it's time to renew. I'm sure a deal will be worked out where a few fines and the amount due are paid with the license being renewed. It's really a stupid idea to ignore the FCC because you will pay for it in hard cold cash (think ignoring the IRS). This sort of thing has happened before.

If WJDF went away, once the FCC opens a new filing window for an auction, the frequency may be available or potentially modified. It could be years before that happens.

In late 2017 during what must have been short-hop "skip".....I actually copied an EAS test from this station!!!
My TFT 911 uses the 930A receiver bank....I had one of the FM tuners set wrong (should have been 97.5 for WOKQ).....
Needless to say....I did a double-take when I read the EAS printout!!
IIRC....WJDF is (or WAS......) Hispanic or Portuguese format?

Owing to a likely cash-flow problem, Deane Brothers Broadcasting may have difficulty coughing up the (roughly) $10,000 in delinquent regulatory fees.
