According to the SBE, there is a bill before the Senate that will require each FCC Commissioner to have at least one staff member who is an EE or has a background in Computer Science. What an interesting concept!
This will be in addition to their existing staff....ie a new position. They will still be permitted to hire inept political hacks to fill staff positions. However, at least one must be able to understand the technical problems of the industry.
