Feb. 17th -- Don't forget to Re-Scan your OTA Digital Channels

Cool! Now can you tell us something we don't already know? The CW and ION stations in greater Hartford will be moving to their current analog homes (CW from 12 to 20 and ION from 34 to 26, respectively).

I actually FINALLY saw an ad about this last night for the first time. It was on MHz WorldView and I thought it was a pretty good ad, considering I missed the first half of it.

In Columbus Ohio the local OTA stations with the exception of WSYX and the upcoming WCPX LPTV are already on their post transitional RF channels.

This could vary by market as well. In our market, we have a couple out of core stations (Indianapolis DMA) that will move back in core after the transition, and at least one station (WTHR) moving from their in-core UHF digital channel back to the VHF home of their analog signal. So we've been seeing a fair number of "rescan your box" type of PSAs.

The fact that the digital changeover date is either February 17 or June 12 or somewhere in between is going to cause massive interference problems. The date should have been kept at February 17.
