Then why isn't WCRS and/or WCRX listed in the ratings chart? Seems to me that if the equipment has been installed, then we should at least show up somewhere in the table. Dozens of stations are listed towards the bottom of it that don't have a rating, just a "-". Can't we at least join that crowd? Did you install the stuff yourself, knowbetter?

Hmmm...could it be that no one (or at least no one with a meter) is listening? ???

I assume that if we have the equipment installed but no one with a meter is listening, then we would appear in the chart with either a 0.0 or a "-" after our letters.

Has anyone else noticed that since the holiday book WTVN has been over a 9 share (7.9 in the holiday book)? Guess BC leaving WTVN has not hurt them at all!

Same ratings.  Fraction of the cost.

And I thought I read that Joel would tank em.   Yeah, I know it's still a bit soon.  But where are they, the listeners, going to go for something similar?

With the success of station and with the savings with BC's departure, Corby's agent better be priming the pump with some great spin.

Wonder if personal product/service endorsements by BC added any beyond-ratings sales value that's been lost since he retired?  I have no idea whether that's true or whether BC even did live spots, as  I rarely listened.  Just throwing it out there.

Bob still did a few personal endorsements, but it seems it was fewer than in the past. Kinetico water system was the last I remember. May have been others.

I think I heard Joel voicing one the other day. Can't remember who it was for.

As other folks have mentioned, it could be that nobody is listening, or it could be that the proper paperwork wasn't filled out, or if could be a mistake on Arbitron's end. From what I understand, there was an issue with duplicated call signs, so the 102.1 station is not coded by the normal station calls, or at least it wasn't. If the transition from the actually PPM calls, wasn't correlated to the Station Calls, much like Virtual TV channels, the data could presumably be lost, or misfiled...

here is a snippet of what I have from Arbitron, on the actual 102.1 encoder...

-----
This email is a reminder that I’ll be calling you on Thursday 9/29/2011 to conduct testing of your encoding equipment for the following stations

XXRX-FM

To facilitate the test, I will need to listen to your station’s over the air signal via a landline telephone (preferably a POTS line) to expedite the process.

I look forward to working with you and completing the encoding process; I will talk to you tomorrow

------

Now, if by chance the XXRX-FM calls are not connected to 102.1 Columbus, obviously, the station wouldn't appear...if this is the case, there might be listeners who are not counted.. While it might be nice to get some indication, I would be pleasantly surprised to see any real showing at all, but at least, it's worth investigation. After all, it may not only be a local phenomena.

Ill drop them a line....

I like XXRX; it sounds very racy. I say we try to keep it. I could insert an extra word in my standard closing and identify "Yesterday's Top Secrets" as representing "low-power high-ADULT entertainment FM ..."

Learn to speak Spanish, as call letters that begin with X are in Mexico!

As you may have heard, going forward Arbitron will exclude non-subscribing stations from all publicly-released share recaps. That policy will apply to both PPM and diary markets (though for those interested in the latter, the good news is that Arbitron will cease fully embargoing any of those markets -- something they had been doing plenty of lately).

So whether CRS/CRX shows up becomes a moot point, at least for anyone except for Arbitron-subscribing stations, who will still get to see the complete results.

For Columbus this also means that we'll no longer see the 6+ share trends for Sunny, Mix or Rewind, since Saga doesn't subscribe. And I'm guessing WCLT, WNKO and a number of the others are also non-subscribers and will disappear from the list. This also means that when we say "WXXX made it into the top 5 or top 10" we'll likely be wrong since Sunny will be missing.

Well that sucks for us outside Monday Morning Program Directors.

yeah I am guessing we're now gonna just see the beauty contest between Clear Channel stations... Does Wilks sub? Wonder about the noncoms, CD102.5 etc.

I think Wilks and 102.5 (and Nabco and Radio One) all subscribe.  Noncoms will still be listed as long as they belong to the Radio Research Consortium, which I believe is the case for both WOSU and WCBE. Not completely sure that whole list is correct, though. Guess we'll get the definitive answers in a couple weeks.

It appears that neither station filled out their Arbitron Station Information forms, that means that any related data would be ignored!
