FEBRUARY 2012 ARBITRON REVIEW

The top 10 stations changed a bit in AQH listening 6 + for the month of February:

1. KRWM up a 1/10 of a share
2. KIRO FM down 6/10 of a share
3. KISW up a 1/10 of a share
4. KUOW down 1/10 of a share
5. KOMO down 1.3 share points
6. KZOK up 7/10 of a share
7. KKWF up 5/10 of a share
8. KUBE up 4/10 of a share
9. KMPS up 2/10 of a share
10. KJR FM up 6/10 of a share
Other stations showing a nice jump in shares: KJAQ, KLCK, KMTT, KPTK

Top 10 stations cume wise (15 minutes minimum listening during a week's time): KRWM, KBKS, KQMV, KUBE, KPLZ, KJR FM, KISW, KJAQ, KZOK, KNDD, KLCK

KVI Smart Talk 570 still has a tiny share but cume wise increased about 15,000 listeners.

Among the Sports stations, KJR/KNBQ still beats KIRO AM by 1.1 share points and about 75,000 weekly cume listeners.
With the Mariners broadcasts in March, that gap will narrow or KIRO will surge ahead in the March ratings.

One other station of note, KKBW 104.9 increased its cume audience about 17,000 weekly listeners, and is close to a full share point in AQH. This is the best this station has done in several years since they dropped the Funky Monkey moniker and format.

Full ratings numbers are available on this site, under the ratings button.

Inside the numbers not a whole lot of change. Top male stations 25-54 remain KISW, KIRO and KZOK. Top female stations 25-54 remain KPLZ, KUOW and KKWF. Mornings shows had Bob Rivers on top in men and adults, along with KIRO, KISW. For women Fitz and Kent and Alan on top.

Some movement in the middle of the pack of Seattle stations, but the leaders remain the leaders. Yawn....

The new morning shows like Danny Bonaduce and the KMPS remain challenged. I also noticed KJR-FM has big numbers in mornings and then falls apart the rest of the day. KMTT and KLCK are up a bit with their new formats, but still way back. KVI is still about half the cume it had as an Oldies station, and that wasn't good.
