February PPM

Nice to see a rise in KPKX. Lately, that's been my favorite station, and it has even lessened my KZON listenership to a degree over the past couple of weeks to a month or two. Also, with KPKX around, I find myself very rarely tuning in to KMVA.

Here's another site that posts the numbers:

http://www.******************/ratings.asp?market=57

If he's reading this - I have two questions for the Old Gringo:

- Are snowbirds part of the PPM panel? If not, then it seems that the sample is leaning older - given the strong performances of KESZ and KOOL.

- I'm intrigued by KNAI jumping a full share to a 3.7...any explanation for this?

Snowbirds are not in the panel, as they don't meet the residency requirements. Were a snowbird to consider themselves to be local residents, the moment they spend weeks and weeks in another market, they will be questioned. So some might get on, but they will not be on for long.

I don't understand the KNAI thing either. Of course, the panel turnover was
• January 2011 = 19%
• Holliday 2010 = 16%
• December 2010 = 17%
• November 2010 = 16%

That means that the panel may have turned over as much as two thirds in the last 4 months.
