February Ratings

http://ratings.****************/cgi-bin/rol.exe/arb011

WWJ remains in the top spot. AM is dead, did I hear that right?

Impressive gain for WOMC and WNIC. Another drop for Young Country with a corresponding gain for WDRQ (NASH). They are now where Doug was an achieving corporate objectives of expanding the NASH format and impact a competitor's (formerly) top rated product. So far, Cumulus seems to have made a wise decision with that format flip. WJR had a minor drop. but the loss of Hannity for Savage doesn't have the adverse impact I thought it would.

Drop for The Ticket, but you had the Olympics, meaning the Wings were off so that's not a big surprise. 105.1 drops to 0.7. That flip is an abject failure. Unless there are plans to get the rights to one of our teams, Greater Media should reconsider this.

WDTK doesn't subscribe, so the impact of Hannity joining their lineup cannot be assessed. Frankly, I really thought WJR would drop a good half point and WDTK would pick that up, even with their comparatively impaired signal.

So Clear Channel continues to benefit from Greater Media's misteps, as does CBS, but CBS is impacted by Cumulus' moves. CBS still rules the market, but it's much more competitive than it was just six months ago.

All in all, an interesting book.

AM is far from dead, contrary to the doom and gloom peddled by some on here.

I'm gonna give 105.1 some more time before calling it a total flop. Most sports talkers don't gain much traction for between 6 months and one year. That said, with CBS hogging the local teams, it will be very hard for them to gain any traction unless someone comes loose. When does Sparty's deal with Cumulus come up?

The big mouth that took over Hannitys slot continues to crow about how good he is doing. He, however, fails to compare apples to apples.
Talks about being the top dog on WABC. Fails to mention where the station is at, ratings wise, since Rush has departed.

I used to be an affiliate of the blabbermouth show (two of my talk stations). He has definitely changed his schtick since joining Cumeless.
