Federated

Fed Med has been dropping talent like most people change underwear, so yeah, she was probably blown out. Just like many others at Fed Med in the last year and a half. But you never know, perhaps she went on to do something else. It would be a nice change of story if that were the case.

As I said (implied), it seems strange that a station with a new news format would drop a veteran news person. Into what "plan" does that not fit? (Corporate-speak discouraged.)

I don't know.

Maybe more of a "TV" newsperson as opposed to radio.

A trusted friend told me she left (her choice). Her moving on was unrelated to the new radio format.

We will see as soon as the Spring book comes out. What I do know is that the switching of WAORs frequency has not been a popular one primarily because of the less powerful signal and the location of the transmitter.
AORs loss of Tommy & The Bartender/gaining of Bob & Tom is also another unpopular one.
The loss of Power 95.7 ranks third. Also, the Chevy Avalanche that was used for promoting Power is now carrying graphics promoting "MNC 95.3".

I can understand why those north of South Bend are unhappy with the WAOR frequency swap...however we here in Fulton County are glad we can now hear WAOR. :)

Actually, we won't really see the truth when the Spring Book comes out. Since the changes all happened on 5/10, the book was already 1/2 way over. It will be January 2011 before we can really get a true read on how things have shaken out.

I believe revenue matters more than ratings, anyway.

While I do agree that some sleep better "poor" but "knowing they're #1 in the Arbitron's," that #1 rating buys no food, pays no rent, and fuels no automobiles.
