Feds clear Mercatanti divest of Nassau

The linked document shows some station in Maine is being spun into the same holding company as WNNH & WWHQ. Is Shapiro buying that one too?

The station in Maine is 106.7 WHXR North Windham. With this latest FCC action shouldn't they not be simulcasting 106.3 anymore? It's probobly too far away for Shapiro to be interested. It doesn't seem like anyone is interested.

Last I knew 106.7 was still simulcasting 106.3 (just moving the focus to the 106.3 frequency)...it might end up the way 93.9 ended up when Citadel had to spin it off: In the hands of EMF

That 106.7 North Windham signal is pathetic; it can't even make it into Portland in the summer when the Boston signals come booming in. The FCC should never have allocated that frequency!

Ummm, it was designed to serve North Windham, not Portland. Is there a terrain problem in that direction?

Back from overseas... What did I miss?
FCC FINNALY granted Goldman control? Now we should see some action on the Shapiro deal right? What are the odds Goldman starts dumping everything? The over/under in days till we hear the first sale? What Market first? Entire package, regional, by market or individual station?
Let the speculating begin!
Hey has anyone heard what's up with 102.3 in Concord NH or The Bone in Maine they have to divest? Did Shapiro end up with 102.3? Who got Maine?

North Windham is (in radio terms) a bedroom community, not a market unto itself. Just like Gray, Cumberland, and the other north-of-Portland suburbs other stations in the market are licensed to 'serve.' My point is that the 106.7 signal is inadequate for an attempted Portland rimshot; as such, it's been relegated in recent years to bolstering other rimshot signals. Anyone interested in buying 106.7 will certainly keep that in mind - and the sale price will reflect that inescapable fact.

The transfer to the DU LAC TRUST LLC, TRUSTEE for WHXR 106.7,WNNH 99.1 & WWHQ 101.5 went through 0n the 4th of March. The simulcast on 106.7 is still on right now.

So the guy from Pennsylvania, still in the picture for 102.3?
