Fellow Engineers I need Your Help

I am working on a personal project and need to know if anyone of you can help. I recently came across the first automation system I ever worked with 38 years ago. I was able to salvage the time gate and have gotten it to work. I am replacing th Numertrons for the clock display and the circuit card that has the 7447's and the Numertron display looks like it was soldered with a hot anvil for the tip. I think I can re-draw the pc board, I haven't tried yet. It is a Broadcast Products Time Gate Model 5025. If anyone has one of these in thier basement, I would be glad to take it off your hands. I will even take parts like The Diode pegs for programming, The display, ECT. I know it is worthless to lots of folks, I am just rebuilding the time gate for the memories, and a really neat conversation piece.

While I cannot help you, I rebuilt a Gates SC-48 with carousels, and Scully 270's...there must have been hundreds built, but I still am still missing some units....good luck! JBI

Some years ago I was working for a company that had several 270's in the basement. I have no idea if they have made it to the big old stepper relay in the sky, but they were at WBBQ in Augusta, Ga. Might be worth a call and see if they are still there. I remember them well. I liked the elevator buttons. If you need I may be able to locate a 280 if it helps. I just thought, I have a tool kit that has a ton of Scully parts, alot for the 270.

I had one of those and over the years it is one of the few things I got rid of. Most of the numitron elements were open much like a Gates SX transmitter several bad Texas Instruments displays. I did keep the 4 270 Scullys, 2 with switchcraft buttons, the others with the Clair "Elevator" buttons. I may have a manual laying around for the time gate somewhere. I might still have a parts drawer of the diode pegs for the programmer. Always liked the SP-10 with it's telephone dial for programming.

Lane, I am really short on those diode pins, Is there anyway I can work something out with you? I do not have a copy of the manual either. I found the Numitrons at Sphere in Canada. I have them in hand and I think I will retrofit the display board with 10 pin round IC sockets, all I have to do is clip one pin and I am good to go. All the lands are torn off the PC board that go to the numitrons, I think I can point to point the wiring to the 7447 drivers. let me know, You are probably the only other person in the world that knows what this monster is. JBoyd, If you want the Scully parts, let me know.
