female jocks

Money? How about the money they saved by voice tracking all their mid day shows and dumping their live jocks? How can one person be on three stations in one day? Easy. No budget.

Millennium pays their voice trackers $125.00 a week, per station...no one's rolling in the dough...more like overworked and underpaid.

Michele Pilenza = Mid Day at SoJO, Mid Day at The Point, Nights at NJ 101.5...now there's a working woman! Who's better than her? The resume speaks for itself.

She is good.

Agreed. Michele's is a good person AND a good talent.

Millennium has held on to some good people. Turn-over does not seem as frequent as at some operations (and when people leave it's to some big time outfits). They can't be as cheap in the payroll department as claimed.

LOLZ. As mentioned, she's voicetracked. By VTing her for three stations, they save not only two salaries, but also benefits.

Look, just wait for the book.

I'm surprised this thread has gone on for this long without a mention of skeletor.

"Skeletor". Not bad. ;)

"Skeletor" actually started a thread a week ago, pulling the same routine (i.e. putting herself over and blasting ex-co-workers) and it was deleted in a matter of hours. Someone must have smartened up the moderator.

It's a Chrismukkah miracle!

Starscream - she isn't voice tracked on 3 stations...I would think as a former radio guy you'd at least know that. The New Jersey 101.5 Night Show is live and is getting the best numbers ever for the station. Her SOJO mid day show is #1 in AC and #4 in the 8 counties of South Jersey. She'll probably kick butt at the Point too in no time. If many of the best stations in Philly, owned by the largest radio companies in the nation can voice track during prime day parts...why can't Millennium?

P.S. - the SOJO Promotions Dept has improved greatly too...know what I'm sayin'?

I said Michele is an excellent talent. However, my point about Millennium being cheap still stands. Voicetracked or not, Millennium still saves mucho money in salary and benefits by having Michele on three stations. And Millennium also woefully underpays its foot soldiers as well. Nassau pays people in similar positions between 5 and 10K more a year, plus allows non-air talents to collect talent fees from events. Millennium doesn't.

As for the SoJO Promotions department being better, 4 months isn't a lot of time to undo 13 months of damage, you know what I'M saying?

And BTW - read anything with Vince Lombardi quotes lately? It's really motivating.

Uh...check the Total Survey Area for the market - look at the target/money demos. Just for fun add in the spill from all the counties outside AC listening to SOJO and please let me know which female jock is reaching more listeners.

NJ Vet said Michele Pilenza is getting the best numbers 101.5 has had.

NJ Vet who I suspect is someone working in a promtioms dept should explain why Michele Pilenza ranked near the bottom of the barrel in the latest Middlesex book at #18.

17 Stations beat MIchele Pilenza so why NJ Vet oh why do you post such nonsense. Mary Walter has been #1 many many times over so please stop with your B.S.

I don't work for Millennium. I have never worked for Millennium. NJ 101.5 is a good station to listen to but (from what I've heard) I wouldn't want to work there.

Mary was good but I like Michelle better. She brings a freshness and enthusiasm that I didn't hear from Mary. Both are better than other Michelle who sounded like a kid playing radio, raw talent but not ready for the big time.

AC-CM TSA Spring '07
WSJO
10am - 3pm

#2 18-49 AQH, #2 cume
#2 25-54 AQH, #2 cume

I guess if you add enough external counties she might be #1

I am told Michele is #2 in the PPM M/S/U numbers.

They are also saying that in the TSA...Michele is #1 on WSJO with the stations target demo of women 18-49 and women 25-54.

But....hey you can make the numbers say anything you want...so what does it really mean?

I think the best thing you can say about Michele is that she is a good person, and a great talent.

Screw the numbers.

totally agreed....she is awesome.....I can't hear her much though on WHTG unless I am driving south of Union however WDHA hasn't been the same since she left.
