Who agrees with me that Fenix of 923X is the next Howard Stern or Radio?

I personally think Howard is ok, I don't hate him, I don't like him. But, I know a lot of people hate Howard. So, if you're coming from that angle, where he's: annoying, unlistenable, and as soon as you hear him start to talk you can't change the station quick enough; then yes, Fenix is the next Howard Stern.
______________

Mike,

By the subject line that first thought is "Mike is off of his meds" - and at second thought, I love the angle you're taking with this one.

Does that mean that you won't be getting Sirius to hear Stern?

Research shows that even those who say they "hate" Howard Stern do actually listen. I haven't seen the breakout of this male vs. female but I would think this is especially true with females.

As for the next Howard Stern.... it's probably like Badfinger or the Bay City Rollers are the next Beatles. They won't have the longevity.

He may not be the next Howard Stern....but if he's lucky he might be the next Iggy On My Radio Dial. I'll give Fenix some credit...he's gotten a bit better...however before I had ranked him just below dead air on my list of things I love to hear on the radio...so he's really had nowhere to go but up.

Personally I've never really listened to Stern on a consistant basis. Its not that he offends me...its that his 15 minute long commercial breaks do. Sirrus is commercial free right?? How is Howard going to fill all that extra time that he'll have? Wonder if he is actually gonna play some music or do something to give himself a rest during that shift.
______________

There will be commercials during his show. Hopefully not for 15 minutes though.

I listened to all of Stern's shows...
for years, all 4-5 hrs...
(that I find of interest)...
but never heard any commercials...not one.
Also, as a night creature, I rarely get up before noon....
but hear it all.

It's all done thanks to 5 cassette audio tape decks....
and my "Stern-O-Matic" sequential timing control box.
(the only one on my block)!
Which may soon be used to record the Sirius broadcasts if necessary.
Also makes auto listening at 5 or 11 PM easy too.

OK....it's a little extreme (so to speak)...
but those 15 min breaks are
"ponderous!"
