Ferrall on 790

I would've figured after bringing a kid into his family, he would've calmed down a little. The guy sounds more insane than ever. Former New York listeners said sports talk is what he normally does and that his Real Radio show was a bit of a different stroke. At least when doing a sports talk format he's not so all over the place like on WMAX.

Uh yeah, the dude has been sports his whole career. And he's pretty damn good at it. You didn't just think he's made his career on shows like the MAX one?

I'd bet my paycheck that he did and that you just had nothing better to say , Don.

Seriously. Why did you post that Don?
______________

I hadn't heard of the guy UNTIL he came to WMAX.

Ferrall on XM for good!

Look for Ferrall to land one of the coveted "Golden Tickets" that Opie and Anthony are handing out on XM 202. The first ticket went to Ron and Fez (recently in DC). Ferrall would do great in that format. Ron and Fez start on the 12th on 202, but insiders say they will move to their own station where the other 4 Golden Ticket winners will go. There is not a guy on terrestial radio that would say no to shot on XM.
Edited by Pizza_face on 08/21/05 10:55 PM.

You mustn't know too many guys.

Unless they got a better deal on Sirus

Re: Ferrall on XM for good!

It's obvious both sides want Ferrall on XM, but it appears he's still a Clear Channel employee, and as long as he is, that's where he's staying.

Don and Mike, Mancow, Russ Martin, Michael Savage, Neil Rogers, and many other terrestrial broadcasters have spoken against satellite radio.

edit - Oh, and Rush Limbaugh is not interested either. He thinks that it would be like shoving a knife into the back of all his affiliates.
Edited by livingfruitvirus on 08/22/05 01:35 AM.

What?

Mancow's agent is Bob Eatman - same agent as Opie and Anthony, Reg Guys, Clark Howard etc... He would take XM, or Sirius in a heartbeat! He just wasn't offered a gig. Russ Martin? One guy in Dallas? He would do it too. Neil Rogers, would love to be able to use the F word, and not be worried about the FCC. And I know many guys in the biz...trust me, I know what I'm talking about.

Did you mean to reply to me? This seemed a little out of place for a second.

I've heard Mancow (on the air) say that satellite radio is a failing medium. He SAYS satellite is bad, but secretly I think he wants to be on it just because he lies about a bunch of other things. I so wish I had that audio clip on hand. I'll look for it.

BTW, Bob Eatman is also the agent of Todd Schnitt (aka MJ). Some may remember him......anyone? ::crickets::

Re: What?

Yeah, well Howard Stern bashed Satellite radio in the beginning too. And yes, Mancow has bullshi**ed his way through his entire career. But if XM/Sirius threw big money at Mancow, he would be there in a heartbeat. Especially from a guy that's been preaching FREE SPEECH for yrs. I remember telling Tim Dukes when XM first came out, that commercial radio would have to change in order to compete with satellite one day. He laughed and said that, "Satellite will never work!"
Funny, commercial radio programmers still think they can win playing the same 200 songs, with corny promos, and cutting off the balls of their hosts...
