FHF question

Sorry looking for you input...not an insider like most of you..so I was wondering...

How has Frosty, Heidi and Frank done ratings wise at KABC ? Have they helped at all ? Seams like an odd pairing at KABC of these three and the rest of there programming....if they do well will KABC dump the rest of their current lineup ?

They did extremely well in their first month of ratings but I suspect they have levelled off since. However all that really counts is are they generating revenue and getting higher ratings than what was on there before and I think that is probably true.

KABC's problem (blame the past Program Directors) has been the lack of changes and that is the reason this once almight station is in the toilet. Year after Year Larry Elder brought in zero listeners and yet he remained at the station, same for Al Rantel and the rest of that line-up but KABC's inept management kept it going until they hit rock bottom. Hopefully with new management they can get rid of some of the dead weights over there rather than just pollute the weekends with endless infomercials.

I disagree, westfield60. KABC's problem has been its changes. Look at how to ratings have nosedived without Al Rantel, Larry Elder, and Doug McIntyre in mornings.

I heard the same thing though that FHF did well its first month and that even Peter Tilden improved upon McIntyre's ratings. But now the station is in freefall.

I really respect Doug McIntyre and am really glad to see him overnights again, but he couldn't draw anything going against with that powerhouse Bill Handel. Even I listened to Handel. So I can see why KABC needed to make a change but Peter Tilden clearly was the wrong change.

Larry Elder and Al Rantel could not compete against that other powerhouse of John and Ken and therefore Elder and Rantel lost their gigs. It is all about ratings and for well over a decade KABC management never looked at the ratings book. Now as audiences have settled in to their listening habits it's much more difficult to pry listeners away from Handel or John and Ken. They should have tried a decade ago.

Gee I was wondering what FHF was then I looked. At first I though...Oh....A new broadcast band and what does the F stand for...LOL.

Of course the entire spectrum was named years ago....
