File Size Limitations?

Long story short, I had planned on posting an MP3 to a thread I was in the process of composing, the file being just a little shy of five and a half MB, at 128KB. When I made a new file at 64, it took it down to a little less than three MB, but was still too large to attach. I'm afraid my sound-editing program (apparently) can't go any lower (thought it could, maybe not for that file), so I had to change my thread altogether LOL. What are the file size limitations for attachments? Thanks, appreciate all y'all do and merry Christmas, praying for all of us herein.

Upload to Vocaroo (or other sites), then share the link to the upload here.
 
The system has a 2mb limit on uploads. I inherited that, but since the intent is to move the site to another platform and to ensure no abuse of disk space it will remain.

Like @kwthom suggested, I would use a third party upload site to link to.
 
I'm not sure how folks simply don't understand that when something is added to a forum like this, the storage space needed to maintain that item is part of the cost for the folks (you) hosting the forum.

Roger on that, thanks for the info. Never heard of the aforementioned site, I'll have to look into it. As previously stated, appreciate all y'all do for this site and enjoy reading the nightly RI emails, as well. Keep up the good work, praying for all of us herein.
