Files of WILD-FM change for download

I will be taping the format change of WILD-FM today (5:30 pm) and I also have two files of them from yesterday, one from noontime with a bit of a softer feel (WILD1) and one from about 5 pm with a harder
edge (wildmonday). You can download them below; upload to your mp3 player, burn to a CD, etc. Note that these will only be up for a brief time. It's also possible you can just click these links and listen to them as you
surf the Web.

(going up now: give them a chance to be uploaded)

WILD-FM --urban contemporary (to be rock later today)

And later I will upload the format change file. Note that due to my work hours, the earliest I can do this
would be about 3 am on what will be Wednesday morning.

Leave them up until tomorrow, or send them to my e-mail. I think you know who this is. I can't download them right now, because I am at work.

they will be up for a few days. Email me at [email protected] and let me know your Email address and I can use SendSpace.com though if you have the capability (like at home) to download them right from
the URL (I will give the URL later, once it's taped) you can. Otherwise will use sendspace.

It's taking me a few minutes to upload the two files I mentioned above, but also I will do one of the stunting from about 11:45 am this morning. That URL will be http://shrinking.250free.com/WILDstunt.mp3

Thank you Bob!

Raccoonradio, does anybody have the aircheck of the last hour of WILD-FM before the change? I hear it at the end which is going to be the final hour. Does anybody remember the last song played on WILD-FM as an urban station before the switch?

They did a day of "stunting" with an electronic voiced countdown before the actual switch to the WAAF simulcast.

Thanks raccoonradio for these recordings!

The last song was said to be Tone Loc's "Wild Thing", which was the first song as WBOT, looped for nearly a week before the real launch of the station in December 1999.

I don't have the "last song" on WILD-FM...I had taped from about 5 to 6 pm on Monday but I didn't know the format would be "ending" at 7 and had I known (I was at work), I would have set timer and taped it.

I would have had the first song as the new WAAF (the 97.7 channel only) "jamie's Cryin" by Van Halen
