Final Days for Movin 93.9?

I been listening to it on and off since it went on the air. I like the variety and thank god they don't sound like Super Estrella. Hehehe But it does sound a bit more mature and more how stations sound in Mexico.

Funny thing is, some of my friends at SE called me last night b4 the station went on the air and told me I should send in my demo for a MIXER. But the way the format is, I wonder if they'll even have a mixshow. Hehehe

Even if I do make one, anyone know who I should contact?

Contact Grupo Radio Centro corporate.

From what I could hear, thanks to Jason for posting, by the way, the imaging sounds very good for "Nueve treinta y nueve." Pleasantly surprised, sounds like the took some effort in putting it together. Not earth shattering, but very good.

I just saw their ad on a bus stop. I was driving to get something to eat and I saw a yellow ad with red, white and black letters that said the following:

YA ESCUCHASTE?
EXITOS 93.9.

Ha! Their website is finally up. Well, kinda. It's redirecting to GRUPO RADIO CENTRO's website.

They must be getting ready to put it up. I just looked, and got the ISP's page, nothing else.

David's 939exitos.com site has over 1,000 hits on it. I wonder how many listeners the site has directed to KLVE. GRC really dropped the ball on their site. Still nothing substantive there this morning.

I saw a billboard on Lincoln Ave, just north of Euclid, in Anaheim this morning. It reminded me of the flip, so I turned the dial to hear Enrique Iglesias "Bailamos". I thought I was still listening to Movin' until they ID'd the station.

Rumor has it, EXITOS already hired Holly, JC Cuevas, and Beto Santillan. All were on air jocks at Super Estrella network. They also hired former Super Estrella's Kolo Barrera but he's not on air, he'll be doing production. Interesting specially since Holly is THE voice of Super Estrella. Hehehe

Makes sense! Like I said GRC needed to hire jocks that were familiar with the SoCal latino audience and not someone in a studio in D.F.

The Movin 93.9 website, which is still up, is no longer stuck showing the last played song as Donna Summer's Last Dance. It is now showing the on-air songs, in spanish, of Exitos 939. http://www.movin939.com/airstaff/rickdees.aspx Also, the Movin chatroom remains open and is still active at times. It was quite active all day on 4/15.

The "last played" feature is working too. Seems kinda weird that they would leave the website up and actually logging songs for a new format.

That info. is also displayed at yes.com. As of this writing, STILL no website from GRC. David's 939exitos.com has over 1,260 hits. Not bad for the price of a godaddy.com domain name!

The jocks already went on air since yesterday, but they're only saying the weather & the time? ??? ??? ??? I wonder why?

I'm going to leave this to D.E., but I think this is "modus operandi" in Mexico. I'm actually listening to XEJP-FM now and I just heard a break that was similarly structured...A voice just came on and gave time and temp, and that was it. I believe I've heard a similar thing on El Fonografo, and also the 'bare bones time only' on XEW's music programming, and XEQ as well.

XERF, which can be heard clearly on AM in the Southern US, had the rather oddball setup of a cuckoo clock and kids giving time checks.

I've been asking many people what they think of the playlist and it has been mostly positive. Everyone seems to agree the variety is excellent, but the lack of a website and the jocks just announcing time and temp seems very odd.

It's very easy to get variety when you play stiffs.

The target is 25-44 women, by the way.
