Last night Nick-at-Nite showed the final episode of Roseanne. It was the first time I saw it and I thought it was stupid. Having the whole final season be a book Roseanne was writing. What up with that?

Believe it or not,the last season of Roseanne was stupid, from Roseanne nearly divorcing Dan(after that tyrade in the last episode of the 1995-1996 season), them winning the lottery and trying to fit in(very poorly,I might add), Sarah Chalke returning as Becky, Blues Traveler singing that silly theme song they added,Dan changing looks(beard to beardless then back to beard),and then the whole show being a dream to start with.

I think that the first 2 or 3 seasons of Roseanne were quite possibly the best(the Halloween episodes I didn't care for),then after that it went downhill from there.

The last season of Roseanne was unwatchable, but, IMHO, the show truly jumped the shark the first time that they switched Beckys.

> Yes, but there was one brillant moment in one episode with the new Becky.
While rolling credits the family was gathered around the TV watching Bewitched.
They were all remarking about the series and the replacement of Dick York by Dick Sargent. The new Becky said I like the new Darrin (Darwood) better!
Roseanne was very good show about a realistic blue collar family. The writing was excellent. However, the show overstayed its welcome. The last two seasons should be burned or erased.

I thought it held up well all the way until the final season....that was just a disaster, a true train wreck....talk about a sad way for a clever, truly funny show to go out.

I can't stand that show. Is Nick-at-Nite replacing it with Night Court?
