Final Four to Turner in '14?

Two years ahead of schedule, Turner Sports may start alternating the NCAA Final Four & the Championship Game with CBS. Sports Business Daily reports, as does the New York Times.

The Eye would air the semifinals that Saturday, then TBS would have the Monday night final. Reverse it in 2015, etc. Given that TBS is now well past "critical mass", this is not a bad move. It does mean, however, another big-ticket event ends up in the Cable/DBS universe - at least in even years.

Except this isn't news.
This was always to be the case when Turner got on board with Final Four Tourney coverage.
It's ultimate implementation was delayed due to CBS' current contract with the NCAA before Turner bought in.

The actual language of the report is TBS "is negotiating to advance by two years" - keyword here being "negotiating". So it's not set it in stone just yet... but I wouldn't be surprised if that were the end result.
