Final Game at Yankee Stadium Airchecks

Last weekend was the final game at Yankee Stadium after 85 years since the "House that Ruth Built", Yankee Stadium has closed its doors forever. Next year the Yankees will play at the new Yankee Stadium which is next door to the old stadium.

If you haven't listened to the Yankees played their final game. I will be presenting the airchecks from Yankee Stadium where the Yanks played their final home game against the Baltimore Orioles. Right before the start of the game, they will present a pre-game ceremony in which John Sterling and Michael Kay (formerly of WABC) where they introduced the past Yankee players and many others over the last 85 years. After the game, they will have a post game celebration as well.

This aircheck from the final Yankee game was not heard on WCBS-AM, it was on another station where they simulcasting the Yankee games from WCBS-AM is on WKXP's "The Wolf" at 94.3 and 97.3 in the Kingston and Poughkeepsie area in the Hudson Valley. The station also has country music as well.

Enjoy!

Yes it was.(Probably not where you were) I've listened to the game.

Thanks,
Kevin L. Sealy

I listened to the country music in the final segment. Thrown in the middle of the country music is a song from Kansas, "Dust in the Wind". I guess Cumulus is trying to push the same "Wolf" playlist in Nashville to the folks in the Hudson Valley...
