Finally, some movement at 97.9. Just read on Rodney’s AJC blog that OG 97.9 has added Chubb Rock and multiple mixshows on the weekend. If I’m not mistaken those shows were recently airing on 105.5 THE KING.
Anyways, hopefully OG 97.9 will finally spice up the airwaves. The playlist isn’t “Classic Hip Hop” catered to Atlanta but more of a mainstream national playlist. The former BOOM 102.9 was definitely Atlanta.
Wonder if they’ll add jocks for weekdays. After all, the Urban AC demo seems to be doing well nationwide.
