Finally another choice in RI cable TV

Finally we will have another choice in RI besides Cox.  Verizon has this awesome expended basic service with 180 channels (more than double what Cox has).  That is definitiely what I'll be getting as soon as they arrive in Johnston.  As of now Verizon is available in some cities and town in Rhode Island.  I saw their channel lineup for RI and you get many channels that are only available on Cox digital.  Plus you get NECN New England Cable News instead of that ripoff local news channel that Cox has, where they just repeat the same newscast over and over until the next live newscast comes on.

Well if they come to town before I move out out of State, I will sign up with them. I do not like Cox. They are very sneaky and underhanded with their prices.

Sadly, this is old news now. Honestly, NECN isn't that much better. I myself am in New Britain, CT. Comcast has the monopoly here. Some towns near here are trying out the U-Verse television service offered by AT&T. Lastly, the stranglehold isn't as dominant here for COX like it is for 95% of RI. They do serve bordering Newington and Southington though.
