Finally Another FM Talk Station is On The Air at 103.7

Several of WSB AM's shows are being carried at the same time on the new 103.7 FM Talk out of Gainesville, GA. They did however cut out a few hours of Neal Boortz. Ok no jokes, I'm not saying I'm thrilled about less Neal and I'm not saying I'm disappointed. I'm just stating the schedule. And Scott Slade's morning show is not on there either so I wonder if people will switch to hear Gordon Deal and Gina Cervetti, John McCaslin and Amy Holmes, and Martha Zoller (who's competing for Neal's first 2 hours). I have never heard of any of them John Wetherbee (formally of Lite FM and Channel 46) is their on air meteorologist. Now we will see if people wanting a cleaner signal will switch over for some of the non-WSB like shows.

Would Martha Zoller be under consideration to replace Neal Boortz on AM 750, especially now that their ratings are down so seriously? I would think that the management at 750 is considering making big changes to their lineup to stop the losses.

I noticed Thursday 103.7 had a shorter “time delay” than 750 during Clark Howard. I wonder why? If one of the 7 words is used on the WSB locally produced syndicated shows, it still has to be cut for the network too.

Boortz will be on 750 until he decides to hang up his cans. Martha Zoller would seem to be the heir apparent, though.

I do wonder if a woman could reach an un/underserved demo, though...something to consider. Then again, what kind of traction (or lack thereof) is Laura Ingraham getting, though?

With 95.5 starting it's simulcast of WSB-AM today, it seems kind of pointless to put duplicate programming on 103.7. They both cover the same area.

That's a good point unless Cox gets its CP to move 95.5 into Atlanta.

With a COL of Doraville it might be possible to move 95.5 an Atlanta tower.
