Finally some leadership in the HD radio arena!.

WAMU, in Washington, D.C., has announced a new "Bluegrass/Country " HD channel, to debut on Sept 17th.
This will be programmed with live jocks...and no voicetracking.
This is what is needed to create success for HD radio, and radio in general. FINALLY.....somebody out there gets it!
Other formats could/should be:
1. Blues
2. Standards (for AMlover)
3. Comedy
4. Booger-flickin',bed wettin' liberal radio talk
5. Gameshow radio
Your imagination is the limit! But radio management must rise to the occasion and get innovative programming on the HD channels quickly.....before the opportunity is wasted.
 
AHH!!! Standards on HD. The Martini Lounge Format would be just the thing to get me to invest in HD Radio. AND a job!! ;D But you are right Tom, if alternate programing is not offered HD will not survive.
